font-size:10.0pt;

	font-family:”Times New Roman”;}

Computer training services are where a student learns by executing special training programs on a computer relating to their occupation. Computer training is especially effective for training people to use computer applications because the program can be integrated with the applications so that students can practice using the application as they learn.

Historically, computer training growth has been hampered by the enormous resources required: human resources to create a computer training program, and hardware resources needed to run it. However, the increase in PC computing power, and especially the growing prevalence of computers equipped with CD-ROMs, is making computer training a more viable option for corporations and individuals alike. Many PC applications now come with some modest form of computer training, often called a tutorial.

Online training is a type of training that is similar to computer training; however, it is delivered over the Internet using a web browser. Online training often includes interactive methods, such as bulletin boards, chat rooms, instant messaging, videoconferencing, and discussion threads. Online training is usually a self-paced learning medium though some systems allow for online testing and evaluation at specific times.

Computer training courses require careful review before selecting the right one for the user. Buying a computer training course is not as simple as it may seem. Besides the usual system requirements for compatibility, computer training software requires consideration beyond that of the system.

One can find several computer training courses online by simply entering the term in the Internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo. One must realize however, that just because it shows up at the top of the search results or even on the first page, does not make it a quality computer training course.

Before searching for the right Computer Training course, the user should make a determination as to the type of learning they need. Do you want computer training courses on Microsoft Office? If so, determine if what particular part of the software suite you would like training on such as Microsoft Word, Access or Excel. You can then conduct a more thorough search for your particular need and find those companies that focus on those areas as you drill down these requirements. This in turn will give you a more qualified computer training course provider.

One must not limit to online searches but also to other resources. Look through local community college, university and trade school course catalogs for computer training courses. Sometimes you will find that these are cheaper than ones that can be purchased online and they still maintain the asynchronous learning environment.

On the websites or in catalogs, you should find a more detailed description of the computer training courses offered. Each course should have its own description and a small overview of the course content and curriculum. Together with this information, the website or catalog should contain information about cost of the course, credit if the course is expensive and payment options.

The majority of computer training courses, especially those online, are independent study courses. There is no professor, teacher or facilitator to assist the student for most cases. Again, research into the history and reputation of the company providing the computer training courses is very important and depending on the price, could cost you a great deal of money and even harm your credit report if caution is not taken.

A scuba diving computer can be a divers best friend. It will allow you to stay down longer than if you were diving off of tables. There are many types and/or styles of dive computers you can choose from. Which one is best is really personal preference and is suited to the way you dive. The following are some of the choices you will have when purchasing your dive computer.

Console Dive Computer

A console dive computer is attached to the rest of the equipment via a hose. The console dive computers typically come with a pressure gauge. The readouts are typically larger than on a wrist dive computer so they can also be easier on the eyes.

There are also options for a scuba dive computer to be mounted on your hose (this is the type we currently use) or clip onto your BC. Choose whichever is more comfortable for you and fits into your price range.

Wrist Dive Computer

The wrist dive computer is very popular. These types of computers look like large watches and are worn on the wrist. They will tell you all you need to know at a glance. Some wrist dive computers are also able to be mounted in a console.

Sometimes the faces may be a bit small for all the information the computer can display, so make sure you will be able to read it underwater.

Unless they are air integrated and wireless (see below) wrist dive computers usually do not come with a pressure gauge. One small disadvantage here is that these can be pretty easy to misplace/lose.

Air Integrated Dive Computer

Air integrated dive computers are becoming more commonplace. An air integrated computer measures the tank pressure and then calculates how much more time you have left at the current rate of air consumpetion. The air integrated dive computer will tell you how much time you can spend at any exertion level.

An air integrated computer replaces the need for a submersible pressure gauge (SPG). One downside of an air integrated computer is that if it fails, you lose information on how much air you have left in your tank. Dive over.

Nitrox Dive Computer

With nitrox diving becoming more and more common, so are computers that are nitrox compatible. Even if you aren’t diving with nitrox now, if you are even thinking of diving with nitrox in the future, it is probably worth it to purchase a nitrox dive computer. This will save you the expense of buying a whole new computer in the future. However, if don’t think you will ever dive with nitrox, then there is no reason to pay for this feature. A standard air computer is probably $100+ less than its nitrox counterpart.

Hoseless Dive Computer

The hoseless dive computer consists of the receiver (typically worn on the wrist or mounted on the BC) and a transmitor. The transmitor attaches to the high pressure port of the regulator first stage and then sends your air information, wirelessly, to the receiver. The receiver looks the same as normal dive computers.

This setup cuts down on the number of hoses you need. There are now even hoseless dive computers that can accept signal from multiple transmitors – so you can even keep an eye on your buddies air consumption. Of course, this capability is really for the more advanced technical divers who may use different tanks on one dive. And, of course, we are talking some pretty high price tags here.

So just think about how you dive and what capabilities you need. The right dive computer for one person can be completely wrong for another person. Choose one that you are comfortable with and one that is right for you wallet.

If you are in the market for a computer, there are a number of factors to consider. Will it be used for your home, your office or perhaps even your home office combo? First off, you will need to set a budget for your new purchase before deciding whether to shop for notebook or desktop computers. Many offices use desktop computers because they are not intended to be moved around a lot. In addition, affordability often plays a large role in someone’s decision as to whether to purchase notebook or desktop computers.

While you are shopping around, it’s important to keep in mind some of the benefits that go along with owning different types of computers. To that end, this article provides five important reasons to purchase desktop computers.

Desktop computers are typically much more affordable than notebook computers. With notebooks, you are paying more for the convenience of portability. For as little as $299.00, desktop computers can be purchased from one of the leading manufacturers and a notebook computer for as little as $499.00.

Unlike notebook computers, replacing a keyboard, mouse, speakers or even a monitor does not require having your computer serviced by a professional repair shop. Because notebook computers have everything built in, including the aforementioned features, it is more difficult to replace a keyboard or monitor as opposed to desktop computers, which operate on external connections.

In the event of an unlawful entry into your home, desktop computers are not as likely to be stolen because of their weight and bulk. Notebook computers, on the other hand, are small and portable. This, alone, makes them more appealing to a thief than desktop computers.

Desktop computers are stationary by nature. Unlike a notebook computer, which can easily be moved from room to room, they are less likely to be dropped or broken because they are not moved as often.

The vents on desktop computers are located on the back of the tower, which allows for proper ventilation that will help to prevent the computer from overheating. Notebook computers, on the other hand, feature only one vent on the back with the remaining underneath the base. If placed on a table, the air vents can become blocked and the computer may overheat. If prolonged use leads to overheating, damage may result.

When choosing from the many desktop computers on the market, always make sure that you purchase from a manufacturer who has experience in creating computers. Even though they are more affordable than notebooks, desktop computers are not cheap. With an investment that involves several hundred dollars, you will want to consider the length of time the manufacturer has been in business, their reputation with customers and their warranty.

Additionally, when choosing any system, including desktop computers, always look at the potential for future upgrading. As you grow, you will want your computer to grow with you and a part of that will include a slight upgrade from time to time. This is the only way to get the best use of your desktop computers and make sure that your investment is one that lasts for years to come.

The 50 plus crowd within the United States didn’t grow up using computers at school or within the work environment because in our early years the desktop computer and laptops didn’t in all actuality exist within the consumer marketplace. We have cell phones now that are smaller than the size of a cinder block and computers no longer require more square footage than a five room home. Yes, time has progressed and I’m proud to say the fifty plus crowd my children seem to think are 10 days older than dirt; managed to adapt to the modern day technical advances as well.

Computer use by our aging population revealed in 2004 that 46% of those aged between 59 to 68 now use and enjoy Internet access at home. Just over 76% of those within the ages of 50 and 58 use computers as a direct result of computers being a common place necessity and requirement to function or perform our jobs within the modern day work environment. However, it must be noted using a work computer and having to keep it optimized and safeguarded is usually the task of the resident wiz kid or a dedicated technical type (IT) staff. So what happens when the home PC slows, crashes or is somehow compromised?

As I see there are a number of emergence repair tactics that can be implemented. First and foremost is the panic call to our children to come over and troubleshoot the situation. After all, they have been using computers since first grade and that pretty much makes them an expert right? Once you discover their ability to social network and post videos on Utube doesn’t speed up the computer the second option is; to research and find registry repair, spyware, adware and about 100 other software solutions that have incremental probabilities of resolution. Last but not least the computer can be drug into a service facility or a technician home visit can be scheduled that will ultimately cost as much as a 2d mortgage home loan. Well, none of that has any source of good old fashioned stubbornness and common sense. As I also see it ‘ there is always a solution in the face of any and all problems.

I remember that conversation at the plant where something sounding a lot like a termination threat motivated me to actually start touching a computer keyboard way back when. I still remember a series of training classes that I attended that were moderated by a technician that today wouldn’t be allowed to have friends in his car let alone use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle. Seems to me he still had spit behind his ears. But, putting all that behind, he did a really great job of teaching all of us how to get around those old computer operating systems proficiently. We were ready to tackle Donkey Kong, Pong and any Atari game in existence buried in the home closet. That being a monumental achievement I like many others actually bought a home computer. I used it a lot and as all things being put into use, the computer slowed to a crawl.

I’m lucky because somewhere in the process of aging I found time to attend a technical trade institute where despite the fact my classmates thought I was a professor; I along side of them learned to build a computer from the ground up. Some of the residual training included troubleshooting the system and a resulting ability to keep it and my personal and financial information safeguarded from intruders that come in the form of hackers, worms, Trojans, viruses, adware, etc., etc. I learned to do a mass of little things to keep it (the computer) optimized as well and these series of events; are things we all need to learn to do.

Most people are clueless when it comes to debugging, defragging, defusing this that or whatever it takes to keep the home computer operating efficiently. But, the simple fact of the matter is the tiny little things necessary to keep the home computer optimized isn’t difficult at all. I’m not into a lot of physical activity anymore as age made me realize; the only thing that doesn’t hurt in the morning when I get out of bed is the eyelids. I don’t jog any longer and as far as I’m concerned; that animal the wife drug home 180 years ago – can give itself a walk.

I’m more into keeping the mind fit and dedicate myself into contemplating important things such as how many fish I’m going to drag home from the lake, if the dog is going to find its way home, how many Emails I’ll be sending or receiving and most importantly; why it is the TV volume is set at 24 and somehow comes on in the morning set somewhere around 38 or higher. I still don’t know who formats TV movies to specifically fit my television set and why anyone would want to take a prescription drug after listening to all the accompanying warnings the commercials render.

As you have guessed I’m not into massive physical activity and as such will not be taking the time to come over to your house to show you how to optimize your home computer. The tech boys at work are out bar hopping looking for their future wife and I know by now, your home computer is getting slower than a **** ant missing 3 or 4 legs down it’s right side. (I’m not an anthropologist). Anyway in between Emails, articles, electronic newspapers somewhere in the midst of my avid Internet surfing (which sounds physical) I actually discovered the solution to your home computer woes. I discovered (as you have) you didn’t need to buy all that fixit software above and beyond the antivirus stuff. All you need is a series of home videos that take you by the hand and teach you how to expertly optimize that little computer operating system with an hours worth of effort. Your computer will be up and running as if it was just plugged in today!

With the number of websites offering information on how to fix computer problems, it’s easy to conclude that many people are searching for information on how to make their computer keep its top speed performance. Indeed, many people are complaining that their computer starts slow. There could be several reasons for this problem and, thankfully, there are also several solutions. All you need to do is to perform the necessary operations and your computer will be back in good shape.

When people say that their computer starts slow, their frustration can hardly be hidden. In today’s world where everyone moves quickly and everything needs to be done pronto, it really can get quite frustrating to wait for the computer to start up and finally get things going. This is especially so when a computer has been around for a long time and its owner has failed to perform any maintenance work on it. If you’re guilty of this, then this article is for you. Keep reading to learn how to fix your computer’s problems.

One of the very first things you should do when you notice that your computer starts slow is to defrag it. Defragmentation is a process that often leaves computer owners hesitant; they question their capacity to do such a thing. If you think you’re technologically challenged, there’s no need to fret at all. You can defrag your computer in a jiffy and with no help from experts or software packages. The process is quite easy – as long as you can follow directions. What you need to do is to go to Start and click on Accessories. From there, click on Tools and that’s where you’ll find the options for defragging your computer, such as Disk Defragmentation and others.

If you are wondering what defragmentation does and why it’s so important in solving your computer’s speed problem: When your computer starts slow, it means your computer system is having difficulty in organizing its contents or files. When you finally decide to defrag your computer, the amount of fragmentation in your computer’s file systems is greatly reduced. As a consequence, the content of the disk becomes more organized and the space more free. Because of the absence of clutter, your computer can then work faster again and you won’t have to get frustrated over having to wait for it to start. Experts say that defragging your computer is the easiest way to solve your computer’s speed problems; it’s the number one computer startup solution.

People usually panic when their computer starts slow. They either think that there computer has been bugged by a serious virus and can no longer be saved or that they should buy the latest software package for computer cleanup and repair right away. While it can get stressful worrying about why your computer starts slow, there is something you can do about it that doesn’t require a great deal of money and effort. Just defrag your computer regularly and enjoy the successful results.

You can’t pick up the newspaper, turn on the television, or surf the Internet, without being bombarded by hot topics such as global warming, rising greenhouse gas emissions and the world’s energy crisis. You’re doing your part to help out by recycling and carpooling, but did you know that one of the most effective ways to improve energy management, increase energy efficiency and reduce waste starts with your computer?

According to the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), computers account for a relatively large portion of our electrical consumption—about 2% nationwide. The growing use of computers has caused a dramatic increase in energy consumption, which puts negative pressure on the environment. Each year consumers (and businesses) purchase more computers and put to them to use, but it’s not just the sheer number of computers that is driving energy consumption upward. The way that we use computers also adds to the increasing energy burden.

By adopting conservation practices and changing the way you use your computer, you can help make a difference in the environment – and your own wallet. If you’re ready to take the “green computing” initiative, here are a few simple tips to get you started:

Buy “Energy Star” compliant peripherals

Before you buy, check with the manufacturer or on the Energy Star web site.

Enable power management features

Thanks to the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA), personal computer systems purchased today can be easy on energy. These “Energy Star” computers and monitors can be programmed to automatically “power-down” to a low power state when they are not being used. These efficiency gains can be achieved without any sacrifice in computing performance.

The EPA has estimated that providing computers with “sleep mode” reduces their energy use by 60 to 70 percent – and ultimately could save enough electricity each year to power Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, cut electric bills by $2 billion, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by the equivalent of 5 million cars.

Follow these simple steps to access computer and monitor power management features for Windows.

1.	First check to see that your monitor is Energy Star compliant (see above)

2.	Open ‘Display’ in the Control Panel, go to the ‘Settings’ tab, click on ‘Advanced Properties’ and choose the ‘Monitor’ tab

3.	Check ‘Monitor is Energy Star compliant’ box click ‘OK’.

The recommended settings are 20 minutes for monitor sleep and 30 minutes for system sleep. Remember that to save energy with your monitor’s built-in power management system, your monitor must go to sleep (shut itself down).

Turn off the screen saver

If screen saver images appear on your monitor for more than 5 minutes, you are wasting energy! Screen saver programs may save the phosphors in your monitor screen, but this is not really a concern with newer monitors, especially LCD screens. And they certainly don’t save energy.

A screen saver that displays moving images causes your monitor to consume as much as electricity as it does when in active use. These screen saver programs also involve system interaction with your CPU that results in additional energy consumption. A blank screen saver is slightly better but even that only reduces monitor energy consumption by a few percent.

When not in use, turn off the juice

Research reveals that most personal desktop computers are not being used the majority of the time they are running and many personal computers nationwide are needlessly left on continuously. Every time we leave computers or lights on we waste electricity. Burning fossil fuels generates most of our electricity and it also emits pollutants, sulfur, and carbon dioxide into the air. These emissions can cause respiratory disease, smog, acid rain and global climate change.

Consider doing the following:

o	Turn off your computer and/or peripherals when they are not in use. Turning them on and off will not harm the equipment.

o	Don’t run computers continuously unless they are in use continuously.

o	Turn off computers and peripherals at night.

o	Look for ways to reduce the amount of time your computer is on without adversely affecting your productivity.

o	Unless you require immediate access to e-mail or other Internet services, break the habit of turning on all your computer equipment as soon as you enter the office each day.

o	If practical, informally group your computer activities and try to do then during one or two parts of the day, leaving the computer off at other times.

o	Avoid using the switch on a powerstrip to turn on all your equipment.

o	If you use a laser printer, don’t turn your printer on until you are ready to print.

o	Turn off your entire computer system (CPU, monitor and printer) or at least your monitor and printer when if you are going to be away from the computer for a little while.

Take proper care of your laptop batteries and dispose of them carefully

Follow the guidelines in your laptop manual, such as removing the AC adapter when fully charged, or totally discharging before recharging, to maximize the working life of a laptop battery. Many types of rechargeable batteries contain potentially toxic materials such as Cadmium, so dispose of them properly and carefully.

Don’t throw your old computer away

Globally over 35 million PC’s are thrown away ever year – yet there are many companies now recycling or reconditioning components or whole computers. Don’t throw it away. Your old computer might be worth something either to a dealer, a local school or a charity.

If you have slow computer startup problems, don’t worry – you are not alone. Most people experience a significant slowdown in the way their computers start up and close down. Considering the way people live in the fast-paced world of today, it can get really frustrating and annoying to wait for several minutes before your computer finally finishes loading and allows you to get things done. While it may sound unbelievable, especially to people who claim to be technologically challenged, fixing your computer’s speed can be easy, not to mention cheap.

Some people immediately turn to the Internet and look for solutions that can improve their computer’s seemingly ailing speed. By doing this, you might end up spending big bucks on products that do not actually work. Before you waste your time, try this reliable technique for speeding up your computer: clean your registry. You can do this task by yourself, which means you don’t have to pay any amount of money for supervision by experts just to solve your slow computer startup problems.

Your computer registry is essentially one big repository of information. It is a database of your computer’s configuration. In a sense, your computer registry is your computer system’s brain or command center – it processes every command you give your computer, from finding a file to installing an application. As you continue to use your computer, creating files and adding software here and there, your computer registry grows in size and, without proper handling and maintenance, can turn into a gigantic mess. This, in turn, can lead to your computer’s degradation in terms of speed performance. This is probably the reason why your computer is suffering from slow computer startup now.

Most people have this notion that as long as they regularly delete the files they no longer need or use, their computer registry will become less cramped and stay in good condition. The sad truth is that when you delete a program, the file will be gone in the place where you saved it but not from the system itself. This means you’re not really making any new space but are in fact only causing confusion and slow computer startup.

Apart from having too many files, your computer might also be suffering from the presence of malware and spyware. Malware is any software that wreaks havoc on your computer, including the famous adware, which manifests itself in the form of irritating pop-ups that show up every few minutes – or seconds – on your screen. Spyware, on the other hand, is a virus that works to extract sensitive information about your Internet-related activities and leaks this information to strangers. Spyware also causes programs and applications to deteriorate and even invades and changes your settings.

These problems are the major reasons for your slow computer startup problems. Without diligence, files could accumulate in huge numbers very fast. Without vigilance, dangerous elements could be lurking in your system, creating irreparable damage. Reliable registry cleaner software is just the tool you need to help you achieve your goal, and you can find a lot of free software online.

CPU? RAM? Do you think they are just letters of the alphabet or something to do with computers? If you guessed they have something to do with a computer, you are correct. Not understanding what these basic computer terms can prevent you from making educated decisions on choosing a notebook or computer. Before you even think about shopping for a notebook or computer, you should understand the basic terms and lingo.

What Is CPU?

A CPU stands for central processing unit, which acts as the brain of the computer. It is important when you look at computers that you purchase one with a name brand CPU with high speed. When you look at CPU brands, you want one with a well known reputation that has been in the market for quite sometime. As for the speed of the CPU, CPU speed is measured in GHz. The higher the GHz the faster your computer will run.

What Is RAM?

RAM is the acronym for random access memory, which keeps computers running fast. The more RAM you have the faster your computer will run. RAM only works and functions when your computer is on because it stores temporary files and runs your programs, operating system, etc. In other words, RAM is similar to a person’s short term memory because it remembers every task you perform until it is turned off. If RAM did not clear itself when you turned off the computer, it will store so much useless data that it will eventually overload and crash. This is why is it important to shut down your computer occasionally since you will clear the RAM. Thus, your computer will run faster.

What Is Hard Drive?

A Hard Drive stores data, which allows you to access important files. The hard drive is the computer’s long term memory. Unlike the RAM, which stores unimportant temporary files, a hard drive stores files that matter to you. Every time you save a word document, pictures, movies, etc, they are stored on your hard drive. The amount of storage the hard drive has is measured in GB, which means the higher the GBs the more information you can store.

Now, you know the basics of computer jargon. You can shop easily for your notebook or computer. The best way of getting computers and notebooks for less is by saving money with free computer coupons, computer discount coupons, computer deals, computer rebates, and computer coupon codes by visiting this link below.

http://www.onlinestorecoupon.com/ShopbyCategory/computercoupons.htm

You can browse through the most popular brand of computers and save money with the latest online computer deals. Since you know the basics, you can easily pick out which computer will fit your needs.

In this day and age, we are experiencing the total boost of the technology advancements. And along this advancements, are the inevitably gaining popularity of the computer world. Computer has indeed made our lives easy. It helps us to do our tasks in a much faster pace. Thus, we should take good care of our computers. We should spare all the computers from the dangerous viruses which are invading the cyberspace.

Diagnostic problem is somewhat a common nature in the world of computers. As a result we need a diagnostic tool which has the ability to produce a message to point out the specific error that happened on the device, program or system of our computers. The window’s error report is actually an integrated diagnostic tool stored in the computers. It is automatically being run every time our computers encounter certain application problems. Any diagnostic problem can be easily detected through these diagnostic tools.

There are indeed times that our computers perform slower as time passes by. This is due to some system malfunctioning which is caused by some unknown reasons. A particular diagnostic problem can be solved through appropriate diagnostic tools of computers.

Computer’s diagnostic tool can help us a lot to pinpoint the real reasons of the errors that our computer is experiencing. With going directly to the real cause of the errors, we can easily repair and if possible replace some of the components that cause our computer’s malfunctioning.

A definite diagnostic tool of computers which solves diagnostic problem actually comes in various forms. And the most popular among these forms is the software. The software form of diagnostic tool has the ability to scan our computer’s registry to look for the registry entries which are inactive and incorrect. This inactive and incorrect registry is usually the root cause why our computers malfunction and perform slower as before. The diagnostic software programs not only scan erroneous entries of registry but also revamp all the possible registry problem entries that may happen while we are running our computers. In this manner, we can be assured that our computers will perform tasks effectively just like a brand new computer.

Other possible computer diagnostic tools are used to repair problems concerning the hardware parts of our computers. These tools actually test the hardware components to determine if all those components are still functioning well. Diagnostic tools for computer hardware parts can allow us to easily detect a specific hardware which is malfunctioning thus giving us the time to repair all the components which are not functioning really well. However, this form of diagnostic tool may costs us a lot. Thus, the software form of diagnostic tool is still preferable.

Indeed, any diagnostic problem is not a dilemma anymore with the existence of some diagnostic tools, may it be in a software or hardware form. With these tools known, we can have the chance to scan our computers for free. We do not need anymore the help of some programmers or tech savvy because we can take care of our computers already all by ourselves.
