Are you in search of a new job? If you are and if you are like most job seekers, there is a good chance that you would turn to the internet, namely job posting websites, or to your local newspaper, namely the employment section. While these are the best ways to go about finding information on available jobs, there are many job seekers who choose to submit resumes or job applications to those who are not hiring. Before you start taking this approach, you will want to examine the pros and cons of doing so.

Before examining the pros and cons of submitting a job application or your resume to a company that is not hiring, you may be curious as to how you can go about doing so. When taking this approach, many job seekers use two different options. In today’s society, many businesses have online websites. These online websites may give the mailing address to the company in question. There are many job seekers who will submit their resumes to that address in hopes of seeing success. Others will simply mail in or drop off their resumes or job applications to local companies that they know the address to.

As for the pros and cons of applying for non-advertised jobs, you will find that there are a number of pros or plus sides to doing so. One of the pros or plus sides to submitting your resume or a job application to a company that does not advertise or state that they have any current job openings is the jumpstart that you can give yourself. Many companies will choose to takeout job advertisements when they have open positions, but others will just go through their current pile of resumes and job applications. If you play your cards right, one of those resumes or job applications may be yours.

Another one of the many pros to applying for non-advertised jobs is the impression that you may create of yourself. Many employers view the submission of job applications and resume as showing initiative. This is the type of impression that you want to create for yourself. You want a prospective employer to be pleased with your wants and your need to have a job, namely with their company.

Although there are a number of pros and plus sides to applying to non-advertised jobs, there are also a number of cons or downsides to doing so as well. One of those downsides is the impression that you can make. As previously stated, some employers may view the submitting of a resume or a job application as showing initiative, but you may be surprised how others feel about the same action. You may end up creating a bad name for yourself without meaning to do so. It is possible that some companies would view your submission of an unsolicited resume or job application as spam.

Another one of the cons or downsides to applying for non-advertised jobs is the response time. As previously stated, many companies choose to go through their pile of job applications and resumes. One of these job applications and resumes can be yours, but you never know when you may end up getting a call for a job interview. You could receive a phone call in a few weeks, a few months, or even a year later. This may not help you if you are looking to find a new job now. With that in mind, you may have nothing to lose by submitting your resume or job application anyways. You may be surprised with a quick response time.

As outlined above, there are a number of pros and cons to submitting your job application or resume for a non-advertised position or company. Since the decision is yours to make, you will want to proceed with caution, as your intentions can swing both ways. That is why you should take the above mentioned factors into consideration when making your decision.

Sport is a diverse area, which continues to grow. Many counties around the world embrace and claim a sport as their own, calling it a national sport. It has become a world wide industry in which countries compete and stake claims on title and trophies. There seem to be sport that suits everyone and of every age. Most of people like read sports magazines. These sports magazine covers the information about different sports, ranking of the players, general information about the players, posters, advertisements etc.

What would you want to see or to read in your favourite sport magazine? No matter what kind sport that you love. I believe that most of the people have atleast one favourite sport magazine, which depends on what type of sport they love. Many time that I bought a whole sport magazine just because of I love to read only one section. It is unnecessary that when you buy a sport magazine and you have to love entire of the magazine. For example I have a magazine of cricket called “star cricket” which I love to read only one section which is written by a very good author and I keep continue to buy it over and over.

If you prefer to do your reading online and you are on a budget then you may want simply read one of the many free sports magazine. Online sports men magazine store run 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, it is always available for subscriptions. Online magazines has numerous advantages such as there is inventory to handle, no minimum purchase, no returns, no need to handle collections and many more. Octanmen is a free online sports men magazine, which you can read anytime. When you online magazine is free there is obligation as to minimum orders.

You Are Going to Spend Lots Of Cash

Unless you learn how to make a resume, it will cost you lots of money for a skill that you really need to know first-hand. With the right reference materials, the essentials of resume writing can be learned in an hour or two. I offer an excellent book on this topic at my website, if I may say so myself. Of course, as you know, you can also visit almost any bookstore to find several other books that will bring you up to speed.

You will wind up paying anywhere from just over $100 to a few hundred dollars for an experienced professional to prepare a resume for you. You can find advertisements that post a lower price, but the saying “you get what you pay for” applies here, too. After all, the professional resume writer wants to make a good living, too. If the cost to you is exceptionally low, chances are it will be farmed out to a less experienced writer.

Reason 2: It Will Cost You Even More Money Later

Let’s say that you pay someone to prepare your resume for you. A bit painful to your pocketbook, but maybe not so bad depending on your budget. The problem is, in today’s highly competitive job market, you will need to do everything you can to increase your odds at landing a job favorable to your career. That includes tweaking and tuning your resume as the situation dictates.

As an example, let’s say at your current job you have been called on to handle a wide range of tasks – and you have carried them out exceptionally well. The problem is, you may not want to list all of those responsibilities in a single resume. That might give the impression that you are not focused on any particular expertise and that may put you at a disadvantage. Better to research what skill sets and what role the company you are interested in is looking to fill. Then, tune your resume accordingly. Takes more time? Yes. Gets better results? Absolutely.

If you paid to have someone write your resume the first time, you will no doubt lack the confidence to make significant changes to fit each situation. Sometimes you may just need a tweak – and you will handle that. Other times, it may take some serious changes to put your background and capabilities in the most favorable light. Going back to the professional writer to get this done each time is going to cost you!

Also, don’t forget cover letters. This is the best way to emphasize how you best suite each job opportunity. Even if you decide to stick with one version of your resume, each cover letter must be customized to be effective. Here again, you will start to feel pain in your bank account if you don’t master the skills to tailor your own resume and cover letters accordingly.

Reason 3: You Will Have To Do Most Of The Work Anyway

Even the best professional resume writer is not a mind reader. He or she cannot assemble the raw materials – the details of your background – without significant input from you. What you will soon discover is that this can be the most time consuming task of all. In other words, you are going to be put to work by the resume writer. And among the resume writing stages and tasks, this fact collection process can be the most time consuming.

So, let’s see…you will wind up doing the grunt work of collecting and organizing the “raw materials” for writing your resume. Then, you are going to pay someone else the big bucks to turn it into a concise summary. Not that great of a trade-off, if you ask me.

Reason 4: You Know Yourself – The Resume Write Does Not

Speaking of mind readers, who knows you better than you know yourself? You will have to convey your career aspirations, your likes and dislikes, your motivations, etc. This may take some deep thinking and reflection on your part. So here again, the burden is on you to shape this into your career objectives…all so the resume writer can simply summarize this critical information in a few bullet points.

Reason 5: You Need To Know Exactly What Is On Your Resume And Why

Obviously, you know what is on your resume, right? Not necessarily if you had someone else write it and you don’t review it very carefully. Keep in mind that many facts large and small went into the shaping of your winning resume. When the time comes to sit in front of a hiring manager for a face-to-face interview, you should not be hesitant about which facts made it onto your resume and which ones did not. Many things you say during the course of an interview will not match – and may even contradict – your written resume if you are not familiar with exactly what is on that resume. The best way to be on top of those details is to write your resume for yourself.

Don’t put yourself at a disadvantage, learn the art of writing a good resume now!

It’s a long time; I was looking for a search engine dedicated to business. I saw lots of websites but most websites were bulk with lots of advertisements. And it’s really hard to find what you are looking for, and more over I don’t find a good business search engine for mobile.

I would like to have a search dedicated for business only because, once I was traveling and I was in search of a retail shop for flowers nearby. At that time I thought it would be great if I know a website by which I can search a specific business in a specific place in my mobile. Unfortunately the entire websites I found were for pc and all of them where covered with lots of advertisements. I would like to have a search similar to Google, MSN Live or Yahoo. It’s better to be simple.

I was talking about the people searching for business; on the other hand there are business people who would like to advertise their business to the world. Here, the problem was cost. Most companies charge high cost to publish the business details, and most of them charge yearly or monthly subscription charges. So I thought why don’t every one charge a one time fee and let the search engine shows advertisement as long as the business is alive.

Here I plan to make a simple website with search dedicated to business and compatible for personal computer and mobile. Thus the idea of Wolbiea starts.

The Wolbiea is a simple search engine where you can find business you need, for business people it’s an easy medium where they can publish and promote their business to the world. I have tried Wolbiea to be simple and fast.

What we charge is USD $1, it’s from the business registering with us. This is a life time subscription and the business is activated on search for lifetime. Only thing to take care of is to update and verify your business information once every 6months through our confirmation mail. This is to confirm the business is alive. If no confirmations are made within 2 weeks your business will be stopped from displaying on Wolbiea search. You can activate this any time by just login to the account and activating search. You can register your business in Wolbiea here http://www.wolbiea.com/register-with-wolbiea.php

Wolbiea has launched Friday October 31st 2008 and we welcome all business firms to add your business.

I hope everyone will enjoy this new type of search.

Cost Per Thousand, or CPM, advertising is a type of online advertising that bases charges on how many thousands of times an advertisement is shown on a Web site. The “M” in “CPM” stands for “mille,” the Latin word for “thousand.” Cost Per Thousand advertising is the most widely used online advertising costing method, and Google’s AdWords is the most popular choice for CPM advertising.

The main advantage of using CPM advertising is that you are able to choose the Web sites that will display your advertisements. You can target a specific demographic group by selecting certain Web sites and also determine how much exposure you want your product or service to have. This helps eliminate advertising charges for Internet users who are not genuinely interested in your product or service. Besides selecting great Web sites for your advertisements, you can also choose specific Web sites that you do not want to use to display your advertisements. All this results in a more focused advertising campaign and can lead to increased sales for your business.

You begin your CPM advertising by placing a maximum CPM bid. This is how you indicate the maximum amount you are willing to pay for every thousand advertisement displays, or impressions. Your maximum CPM bid covers times your advertisement is shown, whether or not the user clicks on the ad or not. Remember that Cost Per Thousand advertising is very popular, and the bids for using this advertising method will be competitive.

Cost Per Thousand advertising is a placement-targeted advertising tool, which means you are in charge of determining where your advertisement will be placed. To use Google AdWords for CPM advertising, your selected Web sites must be part of the Google Content Network. Google Adwords will supply you with a Placement Tool to help you find Web sites that will promote your business effectively.

By using the Google Placement Tool, you can choose your advertising Web sites by entering the site’s specific website address. The Placement Tool can give you a list of Web sites to choose from if you enter a description of the advertisement topic. You can also browse through the Placement Tool’s diverse list of categories and subcategories to find appropriate Web sites to place your advertisement.

Another option is to choose the specific demographic group your advertisement targets. The Placement Tool will provide you a list of sites that are visited frequently by people in that demographic group. Requesting Web sites by description, category, or demographic group will result in a list of up to 100 Web sites to choose from. Using Google AdWords’ Placement Tool is a simple way to direct your advertisements to your intended audience.

Google’s Cost Per Thousand advertisements can be either text-based or image-based. If you choose to have an image-based advertisement, the image can be animated. Text-based advertisements will expand or contract to fit the Web page location size. AdWords will also keep a daily log of your advertisement’s impressions, allowing you to keep track of how often your advertisement is displayed on a Web site.

Ever since the Internet came of age in the mid 1990s, advertising deals have become extremely common. As we all know, companies advertise on the Internet through the usage of banners and through search engines such as Yahoo and Google in an effort to drive users to their websites. This article will analyze the key provisions usually found in Internet Advertising Agreements and will hopefully provide drafters of these agreements with guidance before they commence the difficult drafting process. For purposes of this article, the company purchasing the advertising shall be referred to as “purchaser” and the seller of the advertising shall be referred to as “advertiser.”

1. Definitions

The first paragraph of an Internet advertising agreement should set forth the definitions of the key terms that the agreement will refer to frequently. Since the agreement will likely use the term “click-through”, this term should be defined, and is usually described as a “user presence on the advertising purchaser’s website that originated through the advertiser’s promotional advertisements or promotions as part of this Agreement.”

2. Term

This paragraph should recite that the agreement will commence upon the effective date and shall last for a specified amount of time.

3. Positioning

This paragraph should clarify how the advertising banners will be positioned on the advertiser’s website. This provision may simply refer to a positioning schedule attached as an exhibit. On the other hand, if the parties decided not to agree on a specific positioning schedule, the agreement might simply recite that the advertiser has sole discretion to control the positioning so long as it uses its reasonable best efforts to position the banners in such a way as to drive traffic to the purchaser’s website. The drafter for the advertiser may also recite that the advertiser shall not be liable for any claims relating to usage statistics.

4. Click-throughs

Before a drafter of an advertising agreement can go to work, she must know whether her client will be paying per banner ad or per click-through. One “click-through” means that a user has clicked on the banner or the link to the purchaser’s website. If the agreement is for a certain amount of click-throughs per month, this provision of the agreement must clearly describe the commitments promised by the advertiser. Let’s say that the advertiser is promising 1,000 click-throughs per month. The agreement could thus read “Advertiser shall deliver no less than 1,000 click-throughs per month, and purchaser shall pay to advertiser the monthly amounts according to the payment schedule set forth in exhibit A.”

This “click-through” provision may also want to address what happens if the advertiser cannot make good on these click-through commitments. For instance, it may recite that “if advertiser misses any monthly target, advertiser shall “make good” the difference within two months. If advertiser does not make good the click-through difference within two months (60 days), purchaser may suspend that portion of its monthly payments that represent the percentage of click-throughs missed by advertiser until advertiser delivers such make goods.”

5. Exclusivity

If the deal points include an exclusivity provision, the agreement must reflect this intention. The agreement should be drafted to recite something to the effect of “no competitor of purchaser shall be permitted to place or purchase from advertiser, banner or promotional advertising as defined in Exhibit B, and advertiser agrees to use reasonable efforts to prevent third parties that are entitled to place ads on advertiser’s site from placing any banner or promotional ads of purchaser’s competitors.”

These are the most important provisions of an Internet Advertising Agreement. Other provisions covering Cancellation and Termination Limitation of Advertiser’s Liability, Indemnification, and Advertiser’s Right to Reject Advertising may also be included. In all, it is critical for the drafter of the agreement to know the deal points backwards and forwards and to carefully draft the agreement accordingly.

If you are interested in taking control of your own future, spending more time with your family, or just to get out of your present job, especially considering today’s economic conditions, you may decide that it is finally time to go into business for yourself. You will quickly realize that owning your own business is going to take a lot of hard work, and may not make the kind of money that you expected immediately. The most difficult part of the home business procedure is the part where you decide which business you would like to get involved with. Choosing the incorrect business can cause you to lose interest in it and maybe even give up the idea of owning your own business all together.

There are a few ways to tell if the business that you are about to get into is legitimate or not. One of them is to do research through a variety of sites or even contact a company such as the better business bureau. You should be able to find feedback from clients and even previous employees that will allow you to decide if the company that you will be affiliated with is a scam or not. Don’t be afraid to take the time and physically call the company, you will be amazed what people will tell you when asked the right questions. You can find articles in popular magazines that list the legitimate businesses from the not so legitimate ones. There may also be a listing of home businesses in the advertisements in the back of the magazine. Try looking on parenting groups online as well. They usually have a list of businesses that some of the other parents have tried and you will receive legitimate feedback on the type of business that it really is. Word of mouth is also a great way to locate a legitimate business. Talk to friends or family members that have home based businesses and see who they are affiliated with. They will give you their honest opinion about the company that they work for and the positives and negatives that are associated with that business.

Jumping into a new business is not a good idea, even if they seem legitimate. You need to take out the emotional part and focus on making wise decisions and follow your first instincts they are usually the most correct. You want to be able to make your own schedule, and have flexibility, but you do not want to make decisions that can get you in trouble or that you have not considered thoroughly. Be open minded enough to ask your friends for and their thoughts and feedback (it is important to write everything down as a future resource), right down the pros and cons, then go forward informed. Do not feel pressured to join one business over another. The important part of working at a home based business is that you are satisfied with the work and that you are comfortably able to do the tasks that are required of you. You alone will know if the business is one that suits your personality and life style adequately. If you join a business that you do not enjoy or does not suit your tastes, you will find that it is hard for you to want to sell for that business and you will waste your own time in the process. Try a variety of home based businesses before you commit yourself to just one of them to earn a living.

It might not be an obvious choice for advertising, airplane advertising. We think of radio spots, newspaper advertisements, and – if our budget is large – billboards. We don’t often think of the plane advertising, but we should.

Airplane advertising has many advantages over more traditional advertising that makes it an ideal, if not obvious choice, for use of the advertising dollar. Let’s look at a few.

First, aerial advertising is relatively inexpensive compared to other forms of advertising. You can’t look just at the dollar spent, but the audience reached. That is, when you place a newspaper ad, you consider circulation. Well, you say, that newspaper has a circulation of 100,000, so that many people will see my advertisement.

Not so fast.

Unlike airplane advertising, not everyone who reads the paper will see your ad. That is, if the advertisement is placed in the local section of the paper, your advertisement will only be seen by those people who read that section (some might only read the front section and the sports page, while others might only read the classifieds).

Once people are reading “your” section, there’s no guarantee they will read the ad you want them to read. Many people don’t read the advertisements at all.

How is plane advertising different? It’s different in many ways. For example, you don’t ask potential customers to see your advertisement, you make sure they do. You don’t wonder if they read the airplane message; you know they do. You don’t even have to wonder if they remember the advertisement – studies show they do, when it’s sent to them via banner towing.

Airplane messages are the ideal form of advertising because advertisers don’t have to wonder if their ad was seen, they don’t have to worry that it wasn’t read and they certainly don’t have to wonder if it is remembered.

Aerial advertising has a nearly 100% “seen” rate, in that the majority of people will look to the sky when they are greeted with some plane advertising in the air. The majority of the people who see and read the advertisements will also remember them, so advertisers can be confident that their ads aren’t just seen, they are remembered.

Also unique is that advertisers don’t have to worry they are invading on their potential customer’s spaces. That is, there are no advertisements to place on car windows (which just get thrown away), no living rooms to invade through the television and no billboard to distract driving. While lying on the beach or enjoying a music festival, the potential customer only has to look to the sky to get the message.

Best of all, they remember the ad because it’s novel and creative. They don’t feel as if their lives have been invaded. Certainly, if they want to ignore the banner advertising, they can roll over on the beach, or not look up from the music festival activities, but since most people report a positive response to banner advertising, it’s safe to assume the majority of people won’t do that.

Why do banner advertising? Because it works. Your aerial advertising has a greater chance of reaching the intended audience more than any other form of advertising.

Aerial Advertising services are available from companies that specialize in this type of advertising. The Internet is a good source of information when it comes to choosing aerial advertising services. Arnold Aerial Advertising is one of the companies that provide such services. Located in New York, Arnold Aerial Advertising provides nationwide service with affordable rates.

Like advertisers, marketers and business professionals from many states across the U.S. (and beyond), the amount of resources invested by online Utah advertisers in Internet advertising services are growing every year. After all, Utah has a large entrepreneurial base and a cache of business experts who have made offline business in Utah a rather fierce affair. As truculent as the war has been however it seems that the most cutthroat battle is still ahead: the battle of Utah Internet Advertising.

Leveraging Advertising Power for More Effective Utah Internet Advertising

If your business has been rated well by major search engines or if you have invested in a successful PPC or affiliate marketing campaign you’ve probably glimpsed the awesome power the World Wide Web can have on the success of your humble business. When it comes to advertising and a meagerly small budget however it is hard to know how can you invest in the palmy Utah Internet advertising campaign that every Utah business professional could benefit from.

Utah Internet Advertising that Works

The answer to the Utah Internet advertising question may not be the answer that business professionals want to hear and by no means is it the only one. There are a variety of ways to tackle advertising challenges but the obvious way to be successful in advertisement is to create associations between your products/services and the needs of your customers. Finding the best way to make these cagey connections isn’t easy (especially if you want to remain ethically impregnable) but a simple way to begin is to decide which advertising methodology you want to utilize by observing the current trends of popular and propitious advertisements. The observation of these trends doesn’t have to be expensive. Watching T.V. Commercials for instance can be an easy and inexpensive way of creating your own analysis for your next Utah Internet advertising campaign.

This remainder of this article will focus on one of the current (i.e. From about the 60’s or 70s until the present) advertising trends that is working (and working well) in the United States today. You of course do not have to implement this technique in your own Utah Internet advertising campaign (some Utah professionals might even consider it unethical) but this analysis may help you to observe additional advertising trends that would prove more beneficial to your own Utah Internet advertising campaign.

The Current Advertising Trend of Rights to Indulgence, Self-Importance and Superiority: Would it work for a Utah Internet Advertising Campaign?

Consumers know that advertisers (some advertisers that is) are quick to use the basics of self preservation such as material goods (i.e. greed) and physical intimacy (i.e. sex) greed and *** to attract the average consumer. After all, every person is “susceptible” to these self-preserving needs. However, an online article1 by Richard F. Taflinger, PhD also points out that the concepts of self-esteem or a sense of “self” can contribute to successful material accomplishments and sexual intimacy which makes advertising to the “self” a popular way to kill two birds with one advertising stone! Of course, you might think this type of advertisement might not be used in Utah but if those are your thoughts, think again! Arctic Circle, a Utah based company has already used the technique for television (see below) based advertising and it is very likely that Utah Internet advertising examples are also (or will soon be) made available.

Examples of Self Importance and Self Indulgence Advertisements

A very popular method of advertising today is to create a sense that every human being whether a man or a woman has a right to indulge a sense of self or a sense of self importance and superiority as long as he or she has the means to purchase certain objects (of course the purchase requirement is NOT usually explicit). Examples of this zeitgeist of indulgence and superiority include examples such as the L’Oreal campaign slogan, “Because you’re worth it,”2 which of course infers that every woman (regardless of how much she has to spend) has the innate right to purchase mascara, foundation, eye liner and sparkled lotions. Additional examples of the right to indulgence campaigns include the following examples:

Dove Chocolate– “My Moment, My Dove”3

Hummer– “Restore Your Manhood”4

McDonald’s– “Your Deserve a Break Today”5

Johnny Walker Black Whiskey– “Honor Thyself”6

Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolate– “Award Yourself the CDM”7

Acura– “The True Definition of Luxury. Yours.”8

Braniff Airways– “When you’ve got it, flaunt it.”9

The right to indulgence or superiority doesn’t end with individuals however. Groups can be persuaded to superiority as well. Take for example the United States Army slogan that says, “Some of Our Best Men are Women.”10

Utah self importance advertising includes the Arctic Circle commercial where the young boy drags a trash bag from his home out to the garbage barrel. Once the trash is deposited he is awarded with an Arctic Circle milkshake. Essentially the slogan is “Reward yourself even for small accomplishments.”

What does this mean for Utah Internet Advertising?

For your Utah Internet advertising campaign, you might not choose to invest in the trendy right to self indulgence campaigns. However, it is important to notice what people need and what people respond to in advertisements.

Whatever you choose to focus your Utah Internet advertising campaign on, make sure to do your advertising research first!
