By David Leonhardt

(Will your website be ready, or will you be playing catch-up six months too late?

November 2003 might go down in history as the month that Google shook a lot of smug webmasters and search engine optimization (SEO) specialists from the apple tree. But more than likely, it was just a precursor of the BIG shakeup to come.

Google touts highly its secret PageRank algorithm. Although PageRank is just one factor in choosing what sites appear on a specific search, it is the main way that Google determines the “importance” of a website.

In recent months, SEO specialists have become expert at manipulating PageRank, particularly through link exchanges.

There is nothing wrong with links. They make the Web a web rather than a series of isolated islands. However, PageRank relies on the naturally “democratic” nature of the web, whereby webmasters link to sites they feel are important for their visitors. Google rightly sees link exchanges designed to boost PageRank as stuffing the ballot box.

I was not surprised to see Google try to counter all the SEO efforts. In fact, I have been arguing the case with many non-believing SEO specialists over the past couple months. But I was surprised to see the clumsy way in which Google chose to do it.

Google targeted specific search terms, including many of the most competitive and commercial terms. Many websites lost top positions in five or six terms, but maintain their positions in several others. This had never happened before. Give credit to Barry Lloyd of SearchEngineGuide.com for cleverly uncovering the process.

For Google, this shakeup is just a temporary fix. It will have to make much bigger changes if it is serious about harnessing the “democratic” nature of the Web and neutralizing the artificial results of so many link exchanges.

Here are a few techniques Google might use (remember to think like a search engine):

Google might start valuing inbound links within paragraphs much higher than links that stand on their own. (For all we know, Google is already doing this.) Such links are much less likely to be the product of a link exchange, and therefore more likely to be genuine “democratic” votes.

Google might look at the concentration of inbound links across a website. If most inbound links point to the home page, that is another possible indicator of a link exchange, or at least that the site’s content is not important enough to draw inbound links (and it is content that Google wants to deliver to its searchers).

Google might take a sample of inbound links to a domain, and check to see how many are reciprocated back to the linking domains. If a high percentage are reciprocated, Google might reduce the site’s PageRank accordingly. Or it might set a cut-point, dropping from its index any website with too many of its inbound links reciprocated.

Google might start valuing outbound links more highly. Two pages with 100 inbound links are, in theory, valued equally, even if one has 20 outbound links and the other has none. But why should Google send its searchers down a dead-end street, when the information highway is paved just as smoothly on a major thoroughfare?

Google might weigh a website’s outbound link concentration. A website with most outbound links concentrated on just a few pages is more likely to be a “link-exchanger” than a site with links spread out across its pages.

Google might use a combination of these techniques and ones not mentioned here. We cannot predict the exact algorithm, nor can we assume that it will remain constant. What we can do is to prepare our websites to look and act like a website would on a “democratic” Web as Google would see it.

For Google to hold its own against upstart search engines, it must deliver on its PageRank promise. Its results reflect the “democratic” nature of the Web. Its algorithm must prod webmasters to give links on their own merit. That won’t be easy or even completely possible. And people will always find ways to turn Google’s algorithm to their advantage. But the techniques above can send the Internet a long way back to where Google promises it will be.

The time is now to start preparing your website for the changes to come.

Google is clearly the best general-purpose search engine on the Web (see

www.pcmag.com/searchengines

But most people don’t use it to its best advantage. Do you just plug in a keyword or two and hope for the best? That may be the quickest way to search, but with more than 3 billion pages in Google’s index, it’s still a struggle to pare results to a manageable number.

But Google is an remarkably powerful tool that can ease and enhance your Internet exploration. Google’s search options go beyond simple keywords, the Web, and even its own programmers. Let’s look at some of Google’s lesser-known options.

Syntax Search Tricks

Using a special syntax is a way to tell Google that you want to restrict your searches to certain elements or characteristics of Web pages. Google has a fairly complete list of its syntax elements at

www.google.com/help/operators.html

. Here are some advanced operators that can help narrow down your search results.

Intitle: at the beginning of a query word or phrase (intitle:”Three Blind Mice”) restricts your search results to just the titles of Web pages.

Intext: does the opposite of intitle:, searching only the body text, ignoring titles, links, and so forth. Intext: is perfect when what you’re searching for might commonly appear in URLs. If you’re looking for the term HTML, for example, and you don’t want to get results such as

www.mysite.com/index.html

, you can enter intext:html.

Link: lets you see which pages are linking to your Web page or to another page you’re interested in. For example, try typing in

link:http://www.pcmag.com

Try using site: (which restricts results to top-level domains) with intitle: to find certain types of pages. For example, get scholarly pages about Mark Twain by searching for intitle:”Mark Twain”site:edu. Experiment with mixing various elements; you’ll develop several strategies for finding the stuff you want more effectively. The site: command is very helpful as an alternative to the mediocre search engines built into many sites.

Swiss Army Google

Google has a number of services that can help you accomplish tasks you may never have thought to use Google for. For example, the new calculator feature

lets you do both math and a variety of conversions from the search box. For extra fun, try the query “Answer to life the universe and everything.”

Let Google help you figure out whether you’ve got the right spelling—and the right word—for your search. Enter a misspelled word or phrase into the query box (try “thre blund mise”) and Google may suggest a proper spelling. This doesn’t always succeed; it works best when the word you’re searching for can be found in a dictionary. Once you search for a properly spelled word, look at the results page, which repeats your query. (If you’re searching for “three blind mice,” underneath the search window will appear a statement such as Searched the web for “three blind mice.”) You’ll discover that you can click on each word in your search phrase and get a definition from a dictionary.

Suppose you want to contact someone and don’t have his phone number handy. Google can help you with that, too. Just enter a name, city, and state. (The city is optional, but you must enter a state.) If a phone number matches the listing, you’ll see it at the top of the search results along with a map link to the address. If you’d rather restrict your results, use rphonebook: for residential listings or bphonebook: for business listings. If you’d rather use a search form for business phone listings, try Yellow Search

Extended Googling

Google offers several services that give you a head start in focusing your search. Google Groups

indexes literally millions of messages from decades of discussion on Usenet. Google even helps you with your shopping via two tools: Froogle
CODE
(http://froogle.google.com),

which indexes products from online stores, and Google Catalogs
CODE
(http://catalogs.google.com),

which features products from more 6,000 paper catalogs in a searchable index. And this only scratches the surface. You can get a complete list of Google’s tools and services at

www.google.com/options/index.html

You’re probably used to using Google in your browser. But have you ever thought of using Google outside your browser?

Google Alert

monitors your search terms and e-mails you information about new additions to Google’s Web index. (Google Alert is not affiliated with Google; it uses Google’s Web services API to perform its searches.) If you’re more interested in news stories than general Web content, check out the beta version of Google News Alerts

This service (which is affiliated with Google) will monitor up to 50 news queries per e-mail address and send you information about news stories that match your query. (Hint: Use the intitle: and source: syntax elements with Google News to limit the number of alerts you get.)

Google on the telephone? Yup. This service is brought to you by the folks at Google Labs

a place for experimental Google ideas and features (which may come and go, so what’s there at this writing might not be there when you decide to check it out). With Google Voice Search

you dial the Voice Search phone number, speak your keywords, and then click on the indicated link. Every time you say a new search term, the results page will refresh with your new query (you must have JavaScript enabled for this to work). Remember, this service is still in an experimental phase, so don’t expect 100 percent success.

In 2002, Google released the Google API (application programming interface), a way for programmers to access Google’s search engine results without violating the Google Terms of Service. A lot of people have created useful (and occasionally not-so-useful but interesting) applications not available from Google itself, such as Google Alert. For many applications, you’ll need an API key, which is available free from
CODE
www.google.com/apis

. See the figures for two more examples, and visit

www.pcmag.com/solutions

for more.

Thanks to its many different search properties, Google goes far beyond a regular search engine. Give the tricks in this article a try. You’ll be amazed at how many different ways Google can improve your Internet searching.

Online Extra: More Google Tips

Here are a few more clever ways to tweak your Google searches.

Search Within a Timeframe

Daterange: (start date–end date). You can restrict your searches to pages that were indexed within a certain time period. Daterange: searches by when Google indexed a page, not when the page itself was created. This operator can help you ensure that results will have fresh content (by using recent dates), or you can use it to avoid a topic’s current-news blizzard and concentrate only on older results. Daterange: is actually more useful if you go elsewhere to take advantage of it, because daterange: requires Julian dates, not standard Gregorian dates. You can find converters on the Web (such as

CODE

http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/JulianDate.html

excl.gif No Active Links, Read the Rules – Edit by Ninja excl.gif

), but an easier way is to do a Google daterange: search by filling in a form at

www.researchbuzz.com/toolbox/goofresh.shtml or www.faganfinder.com/engines/google.shtml

. If one special syntax element is good, two must be better, right? Sometimes. Though some operators can’t be mixed (you can’t use the link: operator with anything else) many can be, quickly narrowing your results to a less overwhelming number.

More Google API Applications

Staggernation.com offers three tools based on the Google API. The Google API Web Search by Host (GAWSH) lists the Web hosts of the results for a given query

When you click on the triangle next to each host, you get a list of results for that host. The Google API Relation Browsing Outliner (GARBO) is a little more complicated: You enter a URL and choose whether you want pages that related to the URL or linked to the URL

Click on the triangle next to an URL to get a list of pages linked or related to that particular URL. CapeMail is an e-mail search application that allows you to send an e-mail to google@capeclear.com with the text of your query in the subject line and get the first ten results for that query back. Maybe it’s not something you’d do every day, but if your cell phone does e-mail and doesn’t do Web browsing, this is a very handy address to know.

Local small businesses have shoestring advertising budgets and can’t afford to spend thousands of dollars on yellow page advertising or on Google pay-per-click Ads. So here are four free advertising tips to help you save thousands of dollars a months and still get more value from each dollar you spend.

You can use these Four free advertising Tips as much and as

you need to.

Free Online Advertising Tip #1 – Register for a free http://104inc.com business account .

When you register you can take advantage of their ”Free” basic listing. This will allow your business to be listed on over 2000+ websites for free. Registering on 104inc.com alone will help your website/store increase online and foot traffic; generate quality leads from targeted local customers. They also offer 45 day free trial of the upgraded package if you fully want to take advantage of their powerful lead generating tools.

Free Online Advertising Tip #2 - Send a press release or newsletter.

You always have the opportunity to write a newsletter or press releases monthly to promote your business. This is one of the best free advertising tips for you to take advantage of.

This monthly newsletter or press release can be mailed or e-mailed to your customers and update them on a unique product or service you offer.

Make your release interesting and offer discounts or sales to

your business clients.

People love success stories so make sure to spotlight a success story from the past month or quarter. You might talk about a new product or a client who found success using your product or service.

Then once it is finished, you can submit it to local

news outlets or you can publish it online.

The best place to release your story is by using the website at http://104News.com. When you visit the site click on “feedback” on the top right hand side of the website and submit your story.

These first two tips will really help in your quest for free online advertising.

Free Online Advertising Tip #3 – Write an article.

This is the most commonly used free online advertising

tips because it simple and works very well.

There are hundreds of places you can post your articles online on a variety of topics.

All you have to do is find a few that deal with your business. You can find a complete list of domains at 104Articles.com then click on the “tab” (More 104 Sites).

Then you simply write up a 100-400 word article and submit

it to the editors of your chosen 104Articles.com or any other website in the 104inc community.

You will be able to put a link to your website at the end

of your article or the link to your free advertisement profile at 104inc.com (refer to free online advertising tip #1 to set up a profile).

This is where you will put your contact information for

your business.

This is a favorite of the free advertising tips and has

been used for years by many successful small and large businesses.

Free Online Advertising Tip #4 – Use your vehicle.

One of the most unused free advertising tips is by using

your cars, trucks or vans to advertise your small business.

If you think about it, you or your employees drive around for many different reasons. If you have a sign or window sticker, you can attract many new potential clients without much effort.

All you need to do is put your company logo on a license

plate or just place a window sticker at the rear of your vehicle.

Please make sure that your logo and contact information is clear and simple. You need to make sure to put this window sticker where it easily can be seen.

One of the benefits of advertising with you car is the potential tax deductions involved. Make sure to talk to your tax advisor or visit 104Accountant.com to find one near you.

If you have any questions about anything you have read today. Please visit 104Solution.com and click “contact us” to ask your questions.

Now that you have built that great website, joined the perfect affiliate program, created the most sort after product, how do you get others to know about it?

In one word, advertising! In a couple of words, lots of advertising.

Well, let’s begin by reviewing some of the things we know about advertising before talking about viral advertising. What actually is advertising? According to one definition by Dictionary.com, It is “the act or practice of calling public attention to one’s product, service, need, etc., esp. by paid announcements in newspapers and magazines, over radio or television, on billboards, etc..” Notice how it says, “by paid announcements.” But does it have to be paid always? Not when we introduce the viral element of advertising. Remember, we want advertising for free!

There are quite a few things you can do to get others to know about your site or business or product using viral advertising .

Before going viral, lets talk about some of the things you can do with your advertising generally to start gaining some traction. You could start by telling your friends about your service or product, and have your friends tell their friends and so on. That is advertising by Word of mouth and there is a kind of viral element to that. If you have a website, you could make your site in such a way that the search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and the rest of them would love it. You could put a lot of unique content on your site, use meta tags to do on page optimization and build related links to boost your relevance and ranking with the search engines. This is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO). And because the search engines love your site, they will bring exposure as a kind of reward for your efforts.

You could immediately go to any of the search engines such as Google, or Yahoo, or Miva and set up an advertising campaign, where you pay only when searchers click on your ad. This is called Pay Per Click or PPC advertising. You could even do the more recent variation, a kind of pay per incident called Pay Per Play, where you pay when searcher listen to your ad.

There are also traffic exchanges and article directory sites that you can use to bring traffic and attention to your site or product. The later is called Article Marketing and is a very solid and profitable form of adverting. This is simply the art of crafting unique articles about your brand, or service or product and creating a web page for the article on your site and then submitting a variation of the article to the article directories with a link back to your website. If your article is great, other webmaster pick it up and republish it on their sites with your back link, bringing authority and traffic to your site.

But these all cost time and or money. No advertising is really free or is it? Well, No and Yes! No because it will cost you time or money or both time and money to get your advertising momentum going. And yes, because once you get your momentum going, you can add a tweak to your advertising that can really make your ads free. That is the viral part of advertising.

What are the quickest and simplest ways to get your advertising momentum going?

Some of the simplest, easiest and most cost-effective ways to get your momentum going is by running solo, sponsored or classified ads.

Solo Ads: Solo ads are ads sent to an email list or a list of ezine or newsletter readers with no other ads on it. Solo ads when sent to a target audience are very effective because there are no competing offers on the page. The reader is presented with your ad and your ad alone. That is why they are called solo ads.

Classified Ads: When placed at the right place and worded carefully, classified ads are also pretty effective. Because there are other competing ads, they are not as effective as a solo ad. By merely tweaking your headline, text format and duration of ad placement, you can improve the performance of your classified ad.

Sponsored Ads: In-between solo ads and classified ads are sponsored ads. Sponsored ads are placed at the beginning, middle or end of ezine or newsletter articles. By reason of their placement and size, they tend to perform better than classified ads but not as well as solo ads.

Pay Per Click Campaigns are also quick and effective, but they can be expensive if you don’t know what you are doing. You could loose your shirt with runaway campaigns.

Adding a viral twist to your advertising

There a few ways you can add a viral advertising spin to your advertising campaign. But what actually is viral advertising? It is simply a way of bringing attention to your products, services, brand or campaign by leveraging the help and effort of others.

Article Writing, as mentioned earlier is one way to bring a viral effect to your traffic. As you gain prominence in your niche, and other webmasters pick up your articles for publication, there is an element of viral-ness that kicks in and brings you additional exposure and traffic at no extra effort or cost.

Once you begin to bring some traffic to your site or product, you can use other tools, such as tell a friend form on your site, with incentives to leverage off of the help of your visitors. Hotmail did it and exploded their subscription base. Recently, we have witnessed the explosion of social sites such as Myspace, Facebook and several others going from obscurity to notoriety in no time. But these are just social sites and they can provide you leverage if you just want to promote your face.

But there are also sites that provide a platform for you to put a viral spin to your business for free. A quick search on Google will turn out a truck load of such sites. But how many of them actually produce the results they claim can only be known from actually participating. Without doubt, the way to go with your advertising is to go viral. Why? Because viral advertising has a compounding effect, it is free, and it is self-sustaining. You can see author resource area for more information.

The impact of the Internet on the perceived value of information is just as huge as anybody would ever think. Undoubtedly, Internet changed the way people learn and search for useful information. Before the arrival of the Internet culture, individuals who are looking for some valuable and useful information would be congregating themselves in classrooms, public libraries, bookstores, and magazine stands because these are the places where such information could be found.

However, it’s been about ten years since the Internet became accessible to the public and the difference it made has been gigantic.

The impact is drastic enough that the Internet changed the typical procedure of searching for information that has existed since the civilization era. If you want to learn the life of Florence Nightingale, Christopher Columbus, or even the terrorism acts of Osama bin Laden, you do not need to take a class, read a book, or purchase newspapers everyday. You can Yahoo or Google these personalities, and if you are savvy enough, you will be able to find a website that is dedicated to the study of these personalities.

Through the Internet, such valuable and useful information is readily accessible. In addition, retrieval of information is free. You do not have to suffer purchasing Da Vinci Code for several dollars cheaper than what you would have to pay in a brick and mortar bookstore. The search and retrieval of the manuscript of the book is instantaneous (in short, instant!), no wasting of time, and definitely there is no need to spend for transportation.

In other words, searching and retrieving information on the Internet is cost-free, except the purchase of your personal computer (if you do not have any) and the Internet connection fee.

Almost every kind of information could be found on the Internet, historical accounts, answers to personal problems, and information about business opportunities. In other words, every online-based business opportunity related information can be accessed through the Internet.

Nothing more, nothing else. Why purchase marketing strategy books or business newspapers if all information that you need is stored on the Internet and can be read for free.

However, unlike other information on the Internet, information related to Internet marketing are not entirely for free. In fact, there are marketing gurus who sell such information to Internet marketing neophytes.

The basics of success on Internet marketing starts with learning the basics of this lucrative industry. Such basics could be learned through various Internet marketing-related information scattered over the Web. If you want to acquire information that is proven to be useful for your online business, definitely you will purchase such information from different Internet marketing gurus.

To get the real worth of your money, you can look for the following categories of valuable and useful information for your online business outlined below:

•	The content of the information package must be controlled and distributed by licensed and well-known personalities on Internet marketing. Verify the individual behind the personality—check if he is really a marketing genius or not. With so many ‘bogus gurus’ out there, there is a need to check on your information resources first before handing out money.

•	Such information must be on its updated status. What is the use of information gathered in 1980 on a 2006 market? Ask for some sample excerpts or initial information that you can see for yourself if it is updated or not.

•	Look for the “money back guarantee” condition of paid information. If you are not satisfied by the results or the results are not what you expect, you can have your money back. There are many experienced Internet marketers who are willing to give your money back if you are not satisfied with the information you have acquired.

If you cannot afford to purchase premium information sold by different Internet marketers over the Web, you can still look for free information. You may visit different article directories over the Internet that publishes hundreds to thousands of articles related to Internet marketing.

Some of these articles are written by the Internet marketing gurus themselves, thus you are assured that the information is valuable and can be applied to your online business. There are also business sites wherein they give away free information guides that you can use for your Internet marketing career. Just be resourceful and creative enough to locate this free yet useful information.

The Internet is the information superhighway—whether free or paid information, make sure that these will help you learn the ideas and basic strategies to make your Internet marketing career a successful one.

Interview Tips to help you get that perfect job in Chichester

This article is designed to help people find jobs in Chichester or to find a new job near Chichester. With the job market now more competitive than ever, you need to give employers every reason to pick you when you get to the important stage of being invited for a job interview. The first 30 seconds of a job interview are very important. Here are a few helpful tips on what to expect and how to prepare for your job interview.

Job Interview checklist

Make sure you double check the time, date and location of your job interview

Plan your route the day before, eg if you are being interviewed for a job in Chichester you could get a route map from google maps so you can pin point the place to be before hand, or even make a trip there the day before to avoid any stress on the day

Research the job and company before the interview, a few minutes spent typing the company’s name into Google will be time very well spent. Read the company’s about us page and any news articles you can find. Your interviewer will be impressed if you have some understanding of the company and its background

Re read through the job advertisement on allChichesterJobs to remind yourself what the job involves and what the recruiter is looking for

Re read through your CV and have a good think about exactly why you think you’d be good for this job

Look Good, Feel Better

Rightly or wrongly, looks can make a difference, be smart and look professional. Think about the company you are applying to – how do your potential future colleagues dress for work? If you already look the part then you’re on the way to fitting in at your desired new job!

Be on time!

Always keep in mind that you never get a second chance to make a first impression, so make sure you’re prepared. Aim to arrive 20-25 minutes before your interview time, that way if your bus is late or you get stuck in traffic you’ll still arrive on time. If you arrive early, you could wait nearby at a cafe or have a short walk round the area thinking about what you plan to say in your interview. Aim to report to reception exactly 10 minutes before your scheduled interview time.

Look them in the eyes and smile

Eye contact is one of the most important aspects while on your interview and can make a significant difference in how you present yourself. If you look away when speaking to someone, you are viewed as lacking confidence or not interested or being dishonest. So always answer the question with eye contact, and without glaring.

Be enthusiastic and positive

During your job interview always be enthusiastic. Do not be negative or mention any bad points about previous employers. Focus on positive achievements and views, always smile and be attentive.

What not to do in your job interview

As well as preparing for what you should do on a job interview, whether it’s a part time job in Chichester or that perfect next step on the career ladder, it is just as important that you know what not to do.

Don’t be late!

Don’t swear or use slang words.

Don’t slouch in your seat or do anything else that makes you look disinterested.

Don’t lie! The interviewer may see through you. Even if you get the job, your employer can dismiss you if they find out.

Don’t let your nerves show too much. It is normal to be nervous, but you can’t let your nerves take over, as this will affect your performance. Use breathing techniques and try to remember that it’s not a life and death situation; there are plenty of jobs on allChichesterJobs.com!

Don’t be arrogant and assume you’ve got the job. Nothing turns off employers more than someone who is disrespectful and over-confident.

Don’t read from notes or your CV. You should be familiar enough with your own history to be able to talk about it unprompted.

Don’t argue with the interviewer, no matter what. Remember to keep things positive!

Top 4 questions asked at job interviews

1. Describe your strengths

It is almost guaranteed that on most job interviews you will be asked what you think your strengths are (and sometimes what you think your weaknesses / ‘development areas’ are too). You want to leave a positive impression in mind, so you will need to show that you are in the process of overcoming your weaknesses. Once thing is for sure, you need to have thought about this common interview question in advance so you know roughly what you will answer when asked it.

2. Why do you want this job?

Think carefully about this question. Stress the positive aspects, that have attracted you to applying for this job.

What qualities do you think will be required for this job?

Their advertisement for the job may help you a little bit, but you should also think of the other qualities that may be required. These may include leadership ability, supervisory skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving, logical skills, etc.

3. What can you contribute to this job vacancy?

This is your chance to shine. Tell them about your achievements in your previous work that are relevant to the new position you are applying for.

4. Why do you want to work for this company?

Emphasise the positive reasons why you want to join their company, but avoid aspects such as more money or shorter hours. These may not endear you to a prospective employer. Stress opportunities for personal growth and new challenges.

Finally, don’t give up your job hunt!

The fact is that you may not be offered every job, however perfect you think you may be for it.

If you do not get the job after an interview it is a good idea to run through the interview with someone and try to help them to identify any areas where you could have done better. There will be other opportunities in time and any failed interviews should be looked upon as part of a learning process.

Don’t forget that performing well at an interview is a skill and it can be learnt and improved with help and practice. There are plenty of jobs in and around Chichester – the main thing is to find the right one for you!

We wish you the best of luck with you job hunting!

Being a computer technician pays nice money and has for a very long time. Why?well, mainly becuase alot of new computer owners fail to learn how to use and maintain there new computer. Before purchasing my first computer back in 1998,I took an 8 hour class on the basics of operating a windows 95 system based computer..Even with the class, within the first few months,I had crashed the computer 3 times. This gives you somewhat of an idea about what we have here today..Alot of people now are getting computers becuase there friends have one,or to just get into the chat rooms,or the adult sites..point being..they dont know how to use a computer, much less maintain one.

To save yourself alot of money and unneedless trips to the computer shop for repairs, there are a series of very simple steps you can take to keep your new computer running fast and efficient. Myself,I have windows xp home edition running on my computer. I find it to be the best system out there at the moment. The choice is of course yours as to what operating system you install on your machine. When you get your new computer home and you configure an internet connection, the first thing I recommend that you do is to get to the windows update site. The site will automatically update your new operating system with files to prevent people on other computers from accessing your data. Next step is to install an anti-virus and spyware program on your computer.

If your buying a new computer from a big outlet, this is usually included with your purchase but not always.Make sure to inquire about this when purchasing your computer. Both these programs, the anti-virus and the anti-spyware are a must have in todays computer age..You can get good information from google(http://www.google.com}. Just type in anti-virus in the search box..you will get choices for alot of programs..same for the anti-spyware.

Over time, you will visit alot of websites..Most of these sites has what are called “cookies”.These are little embedded packages of data(files),that the sites you have visited leave on your computer to track your browsing habits. After awhile, these files need to be purged, deleted from your computer.

Other files that need to be purged at least once a week, are your temporary internet files and your history files. Failing to do this will really slow down your computer to a crawl and possibly cause a system crash, meaning you will have to re-install your operating system.

When you open up internet explorer,at the top left of the page, you will see options..Look for the Tools option.Left click “Tools”,then left click “Internet Options”.From there it should be straight foward for you. After you have deleted your temporary internet files and history files, click “OK” I do this at least once a day, really keeps my computer running fast.

Now im going to share with you, some things you can do about whats inside of your computer “the case”or your computers “hardware”. No matter how clean the surroundings where you have your computer placed, over time, alot of dust and particles gather on the inside..your motherboard, inside the power supply,on your cpu,all your cards”video, sound, ect.” I clean the inside of my computer every 3 months and I recommend all new users do it also.

Here is how to do it: First, before you do anything, make sure the computer is unplugged from the outlet and is completely turned off! Next is to get a screwdriver for those little round screws you will need to undo to get inside your case. When both sides of the case are removed, you will need a can of compressed air..you can buy this from any computer store for under 5 dollars. You then spray all the areas inside the case..you will see the dust and dirt flyng off from the places you sprayed. Doing this 4 times a year(every 3 months)Is a great way to save alot of money and keep your computer running like its brand new.

I hope you all have enjoyed my computer tips.

Sincerely, William

The content of the information package must be controlled and distributed by licensed and well-known personalities on Internet marketing. Verify the individual behind the personality check if he is really a marketing genius or not. With so many “bogus gurus” out there, there is a need to check on your information resources first before handing out money.

Such information must be on its updated status. What is the use of information gathered in 1980 on a 2006 market? Ask for some sample excerpts or initial information that you can see for yourself if it is updated or not.

Look for the “money back guarantee” condition of paid information.

The Internet is the information superhighway whether free or paid information, make sure that these will help you learn the ideas and basic strategies to make your Internet marketing career a successful one.
